Newborn and proud parents {Newborn photographer, Sutton}

When I first decided to try newborn photography I thought I should learn how to pose babies on bean bags, use backdrops and adorn my tiny clients in tight wraps and even costumes. This style of photography requires an incredible amount of skill and I truly admire those who do it well. But after my second or third try at it I took a photo at the end of a session of baby in his mother's arms and saw that this was where my heart lay. Images of parents lovingly connecting with their new baby really make my heart sing and so these are the kind of photographs I try to achieve from every newborn session. The love and adoration for this gorgeous baby boy was a beautiful thing and I hope to have captured some lovely memories for this special family...

Lifestyle newborn photography session in Worcester Park {Newborn photographer, Worcester Park}

I met this lovely couple in their Worcester Park home and fell instantly in love with their gorgeous baby boy. He was so relaxed throughout his first photo session, happy to be held by mum or dad or just popped down on the bed for a while. His parents clearly adored him and my aim was to capture the love and connection of this new family.

What I love most about lifestyle newborn photography sessions is their go-with-the-flow nature. If baby wants to be held or isn't feeling sleepy it's not a problem because it's all about capturing what's there and what's real. I think this also helps parents to feel comfortable throughout their session and just be themselves which is exactly what this lovely couple were able to do. Here are a few of my favourites from our time together...
